10 steps to a good pedicure.
The harsh African environment and dusty environment obtainable in most of our cities actually requires that a woman keep her feet as clean and neat as possible.
To give yourself a good pedicure, follow these simple steps:
Assemble Your Materials

(b) Foot soak, bath salts
(c) Large Basin or or foot bath
(d) Small foot brush
(e) Cotton balls
(f) Nail polish remover
(g) Nail polish
(h) Nail coat (Base and Top Coats)
(i) Nail Clippers
(j) Nail File
(k) Cuticle stick
(l) Moisturizing feet Lotion
(m) Foot scrub treatment
Fill a basin or your bathtub with warm water.
Add desired amount of foot soak, bath salts and stir to dissolve the salts.
Remove old polish from your toes with nail polish remover and cotton balls.
Clip and file nails to desired shape and length.
Soak and relax your feet for about 10 – 15 minutes.
Brush & buff your feet with the brush to soften your feet and remove dead cells.
Using a foot scrub, massage the cream onto your feet to further exfoliate and soften. Concentrate on the rough spots.
Scrub again with the pumice stone to remove any recalcitrant rough spot.
Dip your feet into the warm water and massage it gently.
Remove your feet from the water and towel dry. Then massage in your moisturizing foot lotion.
Gently push your cuticles back along the nail using the cuticle stick.
Apply nail polish. This process is in 3 stages, starting with the base coat which fill in the uneven surfaces and ridges on your nails, then repeat applications of your favourite nail color, swab away excess polish, finally apply a clear top coat. The top coat protects the nail from chipping by hardening it.
Then you are ready to face the world. Just go flaunt it!
